We’re Matty and Becca, the husband-and-wife team behind Timber & Blade. Together we bring more than two decades of experience in the hair industry — Matty with over 12 years and me with 10. That’s actually how we met early on in our careers, working side by side. Now, we’re taking that shared passion and building something of our own — a barbershop that feels rooted, masculine, and warm. Matty is the heart behind the chair — a creative with depth and a gift for expression. For him, barbering isn’t just about cutting hair — it’s about doing a good honest day’s work, providing for our family, and creating a place where you can find your footing and walk out looking your best. His work is about more than hair — it’s about authenticity, craft, and creating the kind of meaningful space he’d be proud to share with every guest who walks through the door. I’m Becca — the steady hand behind the scenes. Loyal, dependable, and thoughtful, I bring a quiet strength and sense of steadiness that balances Matty’s creativity. I make sure the details are taken care of and that the shop runs smoothly, because I believe in building something lasting, trustworthy, and grounded. Together, we choose products that are clean, high-quality, and rooted in nature — products we’d trust for our own family and that support the environment we care about. When we’re not working, you’ll find us with our bubbly little boy, our loyal old dog, and our prickly cat, enjoying good food, music, and precious time with friends and family. We share a deep appreciation for nature — I grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and Matty was raised along the Golden Isles. That love for the outdoors has shaped us both, and one of our dreams is to get an RV so we can explore more of it together.
